NOMINEES 2015 SCREEN MUSIC AWARDS 

In celebration of the excellence and innovation demonstrated by Australian composers this past year, the Annual Screen Music Awards have released their list of nominees. Presented by APRA AMCOS and the AGSC, the awards celebrate achievements in music composition for documentaries, short films, children’s television, advertising, film and television soundtrack albums, as well as feature films.

ARIA Award nominees revealed!

The annual 2015 ARIA Awards nominees have been announced, celebrating this year’s achievements in Australian music. Congratulations to all the NSW-based musicians doing us proud.  The ARIA Award ceremony will be held on November 26, 2015.

WCC CULTURAL SERVICES & APRA AMCOS PRESENT: A CREATIVE DIALOGUES EVENT

Are you interested in the development of Wollongong’s music scene? On October 9, a panel of guests from APRA AMCOS, FBi Radio, Yours & Owls and more led by Anna Chaplin (Chaplin Arts) with live music by Bree Tranter and local artists will discuss Wollongong’s music scene, an emerging musician’s relationship with social media, management and radio; artistic integrity and paid performance opportunities.

The folks at Arts Law Centre of Australia have a new free online music magazine featuring articles, interviews, tips and resources to help musicians and composers take control of their practice.

Closing date for RELEASE extended

In response to feedback from the music industry, the eligibility criteria and closing date for the trans-Tasman professional development program RELEASE – the Business of Label Management, have been updated.
