Getting started with Sync
Sync licensing is how artists have their music featured in films, TV shows, commercials, and video games. This can be an important revenue stream for artists at any stage of your career, as well as bringing your music to new audiences and boosting your profile at home and overseas.
Join Geoffrey Maglonzo and Cathy Nelson Williams from international music publishers Wise Music and successful songwriter Elaskia to demystify:

Local Artist
Elaskia has taken her music to the world through sync. Her debut single Calling Out My Name was featured in worldwide Netflix series Dynasty, and was announced in ballot 1 for the Grammys. She has also supported artists like Vera Blue and Ballpark Music, and has collaborated with artists such as Lachie Gill and NZ act Chores, playing to 30,000 strong crowds.
Cathy Nelson Williams
Creative & Sync Director, Wise Music Group – APAC
Representing a catalogue of over 500,000+ copyrights across film, TV, advertising and more in Australia, Aotearoa and Asia. Recent local syncs include campaigns for Hyundai Australia and Volkswagen, placements in TV productions such as Territory, Heartbreak High and Boy Swallows Universe (Netflix), Four Years Later, Colin From Accounts (Easy Tiger) and Newsreader (ABC), and feature films Mad Max: Furiosa, Ricky Stanicky and Foe.
Geoffrey Maglonzo
Creative & Sync Manager, Wise Music Group - APAC
Geoffrey Maglonzo is a musician and composer currently performing as Astro High, and has collaborated with artists such as Phil Fresh, SPVRROW, Inquisitive Minds and Esky among others. Part of the vibrant Western Sydney music scene, he is a member of The Great West. At Wise, Geoffrey works across Creative and Sync, and A&R and is the APAC/European Team leader for the Wise Music sync audio library.
Zoe Hauptmann
One of Australia's most in-demand session musicians
Zoe has recorded and performed with some of the country’s most iconic artists including Paul Kelly, Neil Finn, Kate Ceberano and Missy Higgins. Zoe has recorded on over 80 albums, performed at every major Australian festival and toured throughout Asia, Europe and America.
Grady Henshaw
FOH & Monitor Engineer / Tour and Production Manager
Grady has 15 years touring experience working for many big name acts including FOH for Kate Miller-Heidke and Harvey Sutherland as well as Monitors for Spacey Jane and The Vanns.
Eamon Smith
FOH / Stage Tech
Eamon works with some of Australia's most successful touring artists including, The Rubens, DMAs, Spacey Jane & many more. Eamon also plays in Sydney band Prime Minister.
Nazlican Eren
Facilitator - Sync Panel
Nazlican is a dedicated facilitator and connector, drawing on her rich background as an artist manager, radio presenter, culture consultant, DJ, and local tastemaker to bridge the gaps between Australian music and the wider industry.
