Your brand can help you be found and find new audiences for your music. It can give fans a way to connect with you and begin to understand your story. But it’s easy to get caught up in getting your music out there - recording, PR, streaming, playing shows, etc. - and thinking about an overarching identity that is meaningful to you and your audience is a vital step that often gets overlooked.
In this session, curated and presented by Ricky Simandjuntak (Artist Manager, ONEFOUR) you'll be guided through the importance of fan-first branding, how to build a fanbase on trust, not salesmanship, and how great connection comes from understanding your audience first.
The session will be followed by breakout workshops where Ricky will be joined by Clare Holland (Head of Culture at Red Bull) and Alexander Franco (Senior Director, A&R at Sony Music Australia & Artist Manager at Everything Nice) to help you think strategically about who you’re talking to and help you understand how to set up your brand fan-first to connect in a meaningful way.
