On 26 January, First Nations communities and allies will come together in solidarity to reflect and recognise the history, culture and sovereignty of First Nations peoples. These are just some of the many gatherings featuring First Nations artists happening across NSW in 2025.
Since August 2024 newly re-appointed Regional Coordinator for the Northern Rivers Niño Haggith has been re-familiarising with the local music scene, engaging in many 1-on-1 consultations with artists and industry, attending events and supporting music creatives, venues and industry to navigate the current local music landscape.
Over 250 live music venues across regional NSW offer a huge opportunity to connect with new fans and communities. Join our panel to learn how to plan a regional tour, approach venues, and get tips for making your tour a success. You’ll also gain insights into available grants to support your journey.
Earlier this November, MusicNSW Coordinator for the Northern Rivers and North West regions Niño Haggith had the wonderful opportunity to hit the road with Executive Director of Arts North West, Lauren Mackley. The five-day trip saw them head to Moree, Narrabri, Gunnedah and Armidale to connect with local artists and industry and get to know each town’s unique cultural and live music scenes.
Our series of panels, talks and masterclasses featuring some of the best in the biz is headed to Western Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle this September.
