4-6 October 2006 (school holidays)
Katoomba Primary School, Katoomba
Youth INclusive, YAPA’s 2006 youth conference is all about young people’s participation in government at all levels: local, state and federal. It’s an opportunity to learn how government actually works and how governments involve (or should involve) young people. It’s also about how to make people sit up and listen to the issues that are important to you!
Is it overnight?
The conference venue is Katoomba Primary School and the conference is daytime only.
Young people are coming from all over NSW, so many will arrange accommodation in Katoomba. There are plenty of places to stay within walking distance of the conference venue, including budget hostels from $24 per night.
How much does it cost?
$70 per person (there is no GST) – young person or accompanying adult.
This fee does not include overnight accommodation, dinner or breakfast.
Coming from the bush?
If you are coming from a more distant rural area you can apply for travel subsidy to help with your travel costs.
