The Australian Freelance Musician’s Alliance is a branch of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance and is an organising union. Their union is built by members, for its members. Their mission is to promote and defend the economic, social, moral and professional interests of our members who are all freelance musicians.
The AFMA aims to promote the cultural significance and economic importance of music and musicians in our everyday life. Their purpose is to build a strong collective and to campaign for a more vibrant and sustainable music industry.
At 7pm on March 11 AFMA is meeting at NSW Teacher’s Federation Conference Centre on 23-33 Mary St, Surry Hills, to discuss the results of the their 2014 survey and give members/potential members an update and an opportunity to voice their opinions. Have your say by participating in the survey about the needs of freelance musicians before it closes on March 4.
