Entries are currently open for Tropscore 2013, a film music competition for composers. After the success of Tropscore 2012, APRA and the largest short film festival in the world, Tropfest, are teaming up once again to present Tropscore 2013.
Tropscore aims to bring music and film together, demonstrating the importance of a musical score to a film. The Tropscore 2013 winner will receive $5,000 cash from APRA, and the valuable chance to perform or have their score performed in front of thousands of film fans at Movie Extra Tropfest Australia live in Sydney on Sunday February 17, 2013.
Tropscore 2013 will also once again feature Tropscore Jr., a film score competition for young people. For the first time ever, entrants as young as 15 and under can now enter the Tropscore Jr. competition. This is a rare opportunity for kids to get valuable first-hand experience writing music for film, develop the foundations of a career in the music and film industry and have the chance win a $2,000 prize.
All entries are due by 5pm on Thursday December 12!
