Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger is teaming up with former Roadrunner A&R chief Monte Conner to set up new label Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
The new label will share operations with Nuclear Blast’s US operations. During his time at Roadrunner, Conner signed many major acts including Rush, Slipknot, Sepultura, Machine Head, Trivium, Fear Factory, Stone Sour, Type O Negative, Soulfly, Coal Chamber, Life Of Agony, Biohazard, DevilDriver, Deicide, and Gojira.
Nuclear Blast is also bolstering their UK presence by pairing with former Roadrunner UK managing director Mark Palmer, who will be opening the first Nuclear Blast UK office. Even from its early days, Palmer had helped build Roadrunner UK into one of the most respected metal labels in the world, and his expertise is sure to be a valuable asset for Nuclear Blast UK.
