Sydney’s community radio station FBi Radio have announced the return of their Northern Lights competition, which offers two solo artists and/or electronic producers a trip to Iceland to perform live in Reykjavik in collaboration with Icelandic musicians. Additionally, the winners will be accompanied by FBi Music Director Dan Zilber, who will give them the chance to meet international artists while staying in one of the world’s most beautiful landscapes.
Last year’s inaugural competition jump-started the careers of Sydney’s electronic artist Oliver Tank and experimental-pop act Rainbow Chan, and Northern Lights 2012 is sure to do the same for two lucky emerging and exploratory producers.
This competition is available to only solo artists and electronic music producers from NSW.
Entries are currently open and will close on September 28. To enter, head here.
