It is with both happiness and sadness that we say farewell to Indent Project Manager Meg Williams. Williams has been a fantastic contribution to the MusicNSW and Indent team over the past 5 years, but we are looking forward to continuing our relationship with her in her new project.
Williams will be taking up a new position of Executive Director at The Association of Artist Managers (AAM).
The peak body for music managers chose Williams based on her previous work for MusicNSW, Sound Summit Festival, and her current projects managing bands Megastick Fanfare, Melodie Nelson and Shady Lane.
Catherine Haridy, the AAM Chairperson, said the appointment comes at a time of strength for the organisation, a strength that is due in large part to the exiting Executive Director Nicole Brant –Zawadzki
“The AAM is honoured to bring Meg Williams into the fold as executive director. As an active and vibrant young manager herself, Meg’s experience will be invaluable in launching the organisation into a new era of exciting challenges, from an advocacy perspective and in order to bring more opportunities of value to our membership, including a new online mentoring program.”
“We thank Nicole B-Z for the amazing work she’s performed for the organisation, helping to take us nationally and deliver many valuable opportunities for our members.”
Williams is excited about the new opportunity to join AAM:
“The AAM is one of the most active associations for music managers around the world,” explains Meg, “I feel extremely privileged to represent an impressive membership base and inspired to be working with the current Board of Directors, to grow the skills and capacity for artist management in Australia.”
We will be issuing an official announcement in coming weeks in regards to the changes.
