Indent, a project of MusicNSW, is proud to announce the 2006 Partnership Grant recipients. The 44 groups funded demonstrated outstanding event proposals for youth-driven entertainment in their communities.
“Essentially the Partnership Grants enable young people to engage and deliver their own entertainment programs whilst developing invaluable organisational and social skills in a safe drug and alcohol-free environment.” Greg Carey, Indent Project Manager.
NSW Minister for Youth, Reba Meagher congratulated Indent on its continued support for youth in NSW.
“This is an important initiative providing young people around the state with the opportunity to enjoy safe, drug and alcohol free entertainment,” Ms Meagher said. “The Indent program offers young people the support to organise their own local music event – an important opportunity, particularly for youth in regional areas.”
Since 2000 Indent has supported more than 500 events across NSW via the Partnership Grants Program with a particular focus on regional areas.
