Sydneys FBi RADIO, home to new Australian music and culture, has finally
caught up with the 21st century has begun online broadcasting with a simulcast web stream.
FBi launched in August 2003 with a remit to capture the best emerging talent
from across the full spectrum of Australian culture. Music is FBis main passion Â
50% of the music you hear on FBi is home grown, with half of that from Sydney
artists. Rock, pop, indie, hip hop, dance and electronica are just your starting
point for FBi; there’s also a whole range of shows that dig deeper into alternative music genres, such as garage, drum’n’bass, post rock, world beats and more.
Sydney has been turning onto FBi in their thousands since its launch, an
estimated 200,000 listeners tune into 94.5FM across a week. Now the rest of Australia, and the world, can hear what all the fuss is about. FBi will be streaming online, 24/7, thanks to the support of BigPond Music. In addition to BigPonds support, hundreds of FBi listeners recently delved into their own pockets to help make the stream a reality, donating anywhere from ten bucks to $1,000 to cover the costs of the setÂup.
