Angela is an artist who has created a sound unique to her personality. From a young age she has always had intres’s in the musical art. Her influences are Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors and Led Zeppelin. She loves the phycadelic sound of the 60’s those influences can be heard in her music.
What was the first band you saw live?
I went to Soundwave and saw many bands for the first time live! It was amazing.
What’d you learn from them?
That if you’re not prepared you will have a bad show!.. Stage craft- how to move and display all the members of the band so everyone can see them. The way u interact with the croud and how to direct the sound tech guys whilest u are in the middle of a song.. so much talent.. and how to keep the emotions going through the show no matter what is happening.
Got any pre-gig rituals?
I like to meditate a little and go over my set list . Sometimes i eat some vitiman c tablets . . i just like the taste of them before I get on stage and they make me feel better if im feeling a little bit off!!
What do you think the most important issue facing artists in NSW is?
There are so many artists and it is hard to get out there if you dont know the right people. We need to have more competitions in local areas that are not just open to band acts but too acoustic and world music as well.
If you weren’t a musician, what do you reckon you’d be doing?
Well, if I didnt have my music I would have more time to focus on my other projects, selling them off and creating art for others. That would be fun to do full time but its a side thing I like to call a hobby.
