Original Music Festival – Saturday 20th November
November is Oz Music Month and the third Saturday in November brings us Oz Music Day.
This year the Songwriting Society of Australia supported by APRA again presents the Songwriters Perform Concert on Saturday November 20 on two stages at Darling Harbour from 11am through to 5pm.
While the duos and solo performers will present their songs at the Harbourside Amphitheatre bands will pump out original pop, rock and dance at Palm Grove. The Songwriting Society has presented this event annually for 16 years, celebrating the exciting songwriting abilities of local musicians. It has always proved popular with the crowds that visit Darling Harbour and provides a great opportunity for people of all ages to hear tomorrow’s music today. Songwriters come in all ages, sizes and shapes.
Artists range from the 15 year old Natasha-Eloise Andrade and indie fave Serenik to Sydney rock veterans Urban Guerillas.
There will be a wide range of styles and musical lineups reflecting the diversity and maturity of independent Australian contemporary music, including Triple J’s Unearthed cabaret cowboy punk identity Mad Cowboy Disease.
