The One Movement for Music conference and industry gathering will be back in Perth for its second year in October running over the weekend of Oct 9-10 at The Esplanade.
There’s a big schedule of industry events like panels, workshops and keynote speeches from some serious international music industry heavyweights. Plus there’s also a big line-up of live acts playing official showcase gigs.
There’s also a big line-up of international acts on the bill – Ben Kweller (USA), Shapeshifter (NZ), Dengue Fever (USA), ZE! (Malaysia), Delta Spirit (USA), Via Tania (USA), Raghu Dixit (India Jonneine Zapata (USA), Bedouin Soundclash (Can), KORA (NZ), The Telephones (Japan), Melodramas (UK), Liz Green (UK), Get Dexter (UK) and The Great Spy Experiment (Sing). Plus there’ll be sets from local acts Xavier Rudd, Grinspoon, Children Collide, British India, Operator Please, Drapht, Cloud Control, Sally Seltmann, and heaps more.
AND in an unprecedented move, One Movement and triple j Unearthed will be sending one band from every state and territory to play at the One Movement festival. That’s 8 Unearthed bands we’re going to pick for One Movement. 8 BANDS. THAT’S MASSIVE! Not only will you play in front of a huge Perth crowd, but all the fancy industry delegates too.
Entry is simple. Register as an artist and upload your finest tracks by September 12th to be in the running. Artists already on the site are eligible and music that is ‘pending’ is also considered an entry.
Closing date is SEPTEMBER 12.
In the event that the winner of the competition is under the age of 18 years, a guardian over the age of eighteen years must accompany the winner at the guardian’s expense.
