As the newly formed peak body for the Victorian contemporary music industry, Music Victoria supports the growth and development of the contemporary music industry. A position of Chief Executive has now been created to shape the agenda and direction of this non-profit body from the ground up.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead the development and implementation of Music Victoria’s five year strategic plan. With the organisation in its infancy, the CEO’s advocacy is vital to its emerging reputation with stakeholders in government, business and the creative community. The role provides strategic counsel to the Board, has accountability for finance and governance, and is expected to creatively develop a sustainable business model with revenue streams that ensure the organisation’s ongoing success. The CEO will implement strategies, programs, systems and processes that enable Music Victoria to develop and promote the state’s contemporary music industry.
You are a visionary and a do-er – a manager and leader who has created opportunities, forged new directions and translated vision into action. You are experienced in the nuances of operating in the community sector, and have established relationships with government and business. Politically astute, and with exceptional stakeholder management skills, you can demonstrate success in policy development, advocacy and issues management, together with operational and financial excellence. You are flexible, tenacious, highly productive and self-motivated to drive outcomes.
