Australian Trade Commission (AUSTRADE) has a support package for Australian companies wishing to attend MIDEM in 2008.
What is included?
Midem:
Full entry to all the elements of the conference, tradeshow and other official Midem showcases.
Full stand assistance from Austrade representatives who will provide the support services to help you make the most of your time at Midem.
Organisation:
Pre-event briefing to assist you in preparing for Midem.
Austrade Europe staff assistance prior to the event, available to assist you in organising meetings while you are in Europe (subject to additional charges).
A handy guide to Cannes to assist you to manage the event well and find the best value for your money while you are at the tradeshow (important, as the cost of being in Cannes can be significant).
Marketing:
Targeted mailouts to European distributors, specialised press coverage, all delivered in conjunction with other Western European Austrade posts to ensure the business knows you are there.
Daily mini business networking events on the stand to provide an opportunity for you to provide a little hospitality to your clients.
Assistance from the Austrade and Midem teams in getting press coverage and access to VIP invitations.
Inclusion in a brochure of Australian companies which is distributed widely at Midem

Cost:
This year Austrade have a modified pricing schedule.
For the first registrant from a company, the cost is $1900.
For each subsequent registrant from the same company the price is $1700.

Contribution to the stand costs
Marketing assistance
Included in this cost is a $190 Client Service charge from Austrade. This charge includes the promotional activities that Austrade undertakes to promote the stand, the organisational costs involved in bringing together the stand, and additional costs involved with the networking and facilities provided.
