APRA’s Live Performance Return reporting for the 08-09 financial year is due by August 31. A Live Performance Return traces each time a song is performed live and credits the appropriate songwriters of each song. That means if your writing and performing your own songs either on your own or in a band you can get a cut of the licensing pie that all venues, radio stations, television stations pay. Not an APRA member? You can still become one and back track all your gigs from the past financial year. For more information on how to become an APRA member check out the APRA website at apra-amcos.com.au. For information on how to lodge your LPR email lpr@apra.com.au
