You wrote a great song, you recorded it, now all you need to do is throw it up on Spotify and watch the streams come rolling in right? Wrong!
There are so many considerations that go into releasing music, and when you’re an independent artist you need to be across it all.
MusicNSW Regional Music Officer Ali Buckley is joined by Sophie Brown (A&R Marketing Manager, PIAS) and Fiona Priddey (Marketing Manager, Inertia) for a special session designed to help you get the most out of your release.
Join us at 6pm Wednesday 20 April as Sophie and Fiona take you through all the different digital streaming platforms, how to reach playlists, radio and music press, and where to spend to make a difference. This will be followed by a Q+A session where Ali will put any questions you might have to Sophie and Fiona.
The event is free with registration, and will be hosted by Ali Buckley, MusicNSW Regional Music Officer for the Mid North Coast.

This event is taking place on stolen Gumbaynggirr land. MusicNSW acknowledges the traditional owners of this land and the colonial violence that displaced them. We pay our respects to Gumbaynggirr elders past and present, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
