HERE ARE THE FIRST NATIONS MUSIC EVENTS TO SUPPORT THIS NAIDOC WEEK 2020
This year's NAIDOC Week (8-15 Nov) celebrates Always Was, Always Will Be. Remembering and honouring First Nations people, who have been the traditional owners of this land for 65,000+ years.
In recognition of this week, we've pulled together a list of First Nations-led Q&A's, music premiers, digital festivals and more for you to listen, watch, donate to and put your support behind.
The staff of MusicNSW lives and works on the stolen land of the Gadigal, Djiringanj, Walbanga, Wandianian and Wiradjuri people, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be.

- Soju Gang takes over National NAIDOC Week: Gunnai/Kurnai, Yorta Yorta & Wiradjuri DJ/Designer Soju Gang (Sky Thomas) is taking over National NAIDOC Week's socials walking us through traditional flag raising ceremonies, her favourite Blak creatives and more!
- ALOUD: I CAN'T BREATH Q&A: Word Travels' Hani Abdile will talking to Barkaa and DOBBY about their powerful collaborative song 'I Can't Breathe' at 6PM (AEST). It's free to attend this online Q&A that will be unpacking care in Indigenous communities, Blak music and more.
- The Dreaming Award 2021:Presented at the 2021 First Nations Arts Awards, The Dreaming Award ($20,000)will support an emerging young First Nations artist aged between 18-30 years to create a major body of work through mentoring and partnerships.
- Triple J Unearthed NAIDOC Week Collab: Kee'ahn, Kobie Dee & River Boy are teaming up to drop some BRAND NEW music. It's three local legends on one cracking track, officially premiering on the Drive with Hobba and Hing this Friday afternoon
- Isol-Aid NAIDOC Celebration: In conjunction with City Of Port Phillip, Isol-Aid will be putting together a digital First Nations music festival, curated by Candice Lorrae of The Merindas.Kicking off on Isol-Aid's socials at 4:00PM (AEST), the line-up will feature live performances from: Monica Jasmine Karo,Deeya Mithadda Productions (Dance Spirit),Madi.C music, Boox Kid, The Struggling Kings, Lyrical Instinct, The Merindas, BUMPY & DOBBY.
- NAIDOC In The City (online): The City of Sydney are bringing together Ziggy Ramo, Barkaa, Mi-kaisha, Muggera Dancers workshops and so much more for a freeonline NAIDOC week celebration.
