The MusicNSW Board Observership Program provides an opportunity for three individuals gain experience in not-for-profit governance, leadership, and organisational strategy.

Selected observers will attend board meetings over a 12-month period and be mentored by MusicNSW board members.

OBSERVER POSITIONS

Three positions are open to NSW-based artists and music industry workers, designated as follows:

  • One for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • One for a person aged 18 - 24 years at the time of application
  • One for someone based in regional NSW (outside Sydney & Western Sydney)
WHAT WILL AN OBSERVER DO?
  • Attend six meetings in a 12-month period (attendance is via video conferencing)
  • Be mentored by MusicNSW board members

Please note that observers are not voting or decision-making members of the board. They may be invited to contribute perspectives on relevant agenda items, but do not hold any formal advisory role or authority.
