triple j will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of its J Awards with a new award category this year, the Double J Artist of the Year.
triple j announced the first round of nominees for its Australian Album of The Year this morning.
Previous winners of Album of the Year include Flume, Gotye, The Presets, Hilltop Hoods, Wolfmother and Tame Impala.
The 2014 J Award Australian Album of the Year nominees are:
#1 Dads – About Face
Ball Park Music – Puddinghead
Chet Faker – Built On Glass
The Preatures – Blue Planet Eyes
Remi – Raw X Infinity
Total Control – Typical System
For all other award categories, triple j will announce nominees over the coming month.
Winners will be announced on Tuesday November 18 in Melbourne and broadcast live on triple j from 5pm.
