Live Nation Entertainment has announced a new and exclusive Australasian brand partnership with Qantas Airlines, seeing that it’s artists and the airline collaborate on marketing opportunities.
The agreement holds a multi year partnership which will see international artists fly with Qantas throughout Australasia in exchange for projects across Live Nation’s online platforms, content, concerts, and ticketing operations within Australia and New Zealand.
President and CEO of Live National Australia and New Zealand, Michael Coppel said: “Utilizing Live Nation’s network of concerts, ticketing and online assets will enable Qantas to fully tap into the power of live music and its intimate connection with millions of fans. We are looking forward to a fantastic and mutually successful partnership.”
Qantas Executive Manager exclaims how Live Nation will provide opportunity to further increase international sales, as well as an increase in benefits for Qantas Frequent Flyers with preferential access to ticket offers and special promotions through Live Nation’s portfolio of tours and shows.
This isn’t the first time Qantas has tied in firmly with the music industry. In January, the company inked a naming rights sponsorship for the Sydney Entertainment Centre, seeing the building trade under Qantas Credit Union Arena until the end of 2015.
This new partnership was fostered by Sydney based entertainment partnership agency, MixItUp Australia, who Live Nation Australasia formed a joint venture with in August last year.
