AJ Maddah announced as keynote for Feedback - MusicNSW

Indent, our all ages project is pleased to announce AJ Maddah as the keynote speaker for FEEDBACKA music conference for young people, held in collaboration with Vivid Ideas during Vivid Sydney 2014, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest festival of light, music and ideas. Australian music promoter AJ Maddah is the larger-than-life personality and brains behind the Soundwave, Harvest and Warped Tour festivals and recently extended his festival-fingers into the Big Day Out. AJ has been named the most powerful person in the local music industry by the Australian Music Industry Directory, and he’s probably the most powerful character on twitter- captivating 40,000 followers with his honesty, openness and dedication to curating the best festivals in Australia. When AJ speaks, people listen.

AJ Maddah is currently one of the few promoters in the country dedicated to offering all-ages events across the country; however like many in the Australian music industry, he is operating in a tough regulatory environment that has posed challenges to his events. AJ will speak to these issues, while tackling the sure-to-be-entertaining topic of his keynote, “Does anybody give a sh*t about young people?” We are very excited to welcome AJ to the FEEDBACK program, and it will no doubt be a highly entertaining discussion, both candid and informative.

FEEDBACK is a jam-packed afternoon featuring music industry guest speakers, interactive sessions, take-home resources and networking opportunities, tailored especially for 12-25 year olds held at Sydney’s iconic Museum of Contemporary Art on Monday 9th June.
