Arts & Cultural Development Program - MusicNSW

Minister for the Arts, George Souris has announced details of the new Arts & Cultural Development Program.

The NSW Government’s Arts & Cultural Development Program (ACDP) aims to support the arts and cultural sector by delivering quality arts and cultural experiences to diverse audiences across the state. The program will fund projects and programs that are capable of creating the greatest impact and value on the sector.

The ACDP replaces the Arts Funding Program, which was reviewed in 2013. The new program cuts red tape and streamlines processes.

The ACDP is guided by three major objectives:

  • A creative and vibrant NSW arts and cultural sector renowned for excellence and innovation (Quality)
  • State-wide engagement with diverse audiences and communities (Reach)
  • A resilient NSW arts and cultural sector (Health)

ArtsNSW wish to continue to build on the expertise and creativity active in our arts and cultural organisations, so they will be working to increase their resilience through the exploration of new working methods and new income streams.

“Arts NSW is committed to supporting innovation, excellence and State-wide engagement with arts and culture – the ACDP will deliver on this commitment” said Mary Darwell, Executive Director at Arts NSW.

Arts NSW staff will be holding briefing sessions on the new arrangements in April and May at locations throughout the State. Further information on the briefing sessions will be available on the Arts NSW website shortly.
