The US-based International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has announced it’s 2012 winners. with Australian artists leading the way.
Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes for the song Love Letter in the AAA category and in the same category Matt Corby secured a runner up position for his song Brother.
In the Adult Contemporary category, Alexander Gow came in second for his Oh Mercy tune Drums. In the folk/singer-songwriter category Wes Carr and Eric Silver’s track Blood and Bone for Wes Carr’s Buffalo Tales was also runner up!
In the Americana category, Darwin artist David Garnham‘s won first place for Love Inside A Jar and Sydney’s Oscar Jimenez came second in the Latin category. Lupe Fiasco also came first in the R&B/hip hop category.
In Rock, Brisbane based artist Thomas Calder took out the third position for Six Month In A Cast, and Victoria’s Harry Hookey took out the Unsigned Only category for his track Misdiagnosed.
In the category of Pop/Top 40, Kimbra and Francois Tetaz won with Kimbra’s Good Intent.
