MusicNSW & AAM Present: Artist Management: “What It Means Today” Workshop - MusicNSW

MusicNSW, in partnership with the Association Of Artist Managers (AAM), is proud to present our latest free workshop: “Artist Management: What It Means Today”, held at 6.30pm on Tuesday 7 May at venue The Basement: 7 Macquarie Place, Sydney.

For professional musicians, a skillful artist manager is a must. With several of our top acts between them, four of Australia’s leading managers will come together to share expertise, while the workshop will also see the launch of the AAM Patron Program.

Cath Haridy (Catherine Haridy Management)
Bob Evans, Adalita, Eskimo Joe, The Chemist + more: from sourcing bands as A&R Manager for major labels Warner Music and Festival Mushroom to her role in various advocacy issues (she’s the Chairperson of AAM), Cath’s career has run the full gamut of the local music industry.

Gregg Donovan (Wonderlick Entertainment)
Artists such as Grinspoon, Josh Pyke, Boy & Bear, Airbourne and Marvin Priest to name a few all rely on this former tour manager’s business acumen. Via his company Wonderlick, Gregg’s also created new opportunities for his acts via deals with EMI Publishing and Sony Music Australia.

Michael McMartin (Melody Management)
Former Exec Director of the International Music Manager’s Forum, Michael received APRA’s prestigious Ted Albert award for outstanding contribution to Australian Music in 2007, and has steered the career of one of nation’s most successful bands for 30 years – the Hoodoo Gurus.

Heath Bradby (The Fidelity Corporation)
In his role as MD of management company Fidelity Corp, Heath looks after the careers of Karnivool, Downsyde and Papa vs Pretty. In between, he also finds the time to work with a plethora of artists in his role as Head of A&R at Warner Music Australia.
