The 14th annual Message Sticks festival will be kicking off 22nd March-24th April at the iconic Sydney Opera House, celebrating some of the countries finest Aboriginal and Torres Strait artists. This year, the multi arts festival incorporates song, dance, film, discussion and art, fusing contemporary and traditional cultural art forms. The impressive and diverse lineup will showcase a variety of emerging and established performers and collaborators.
The music aspect of the festival this year features an epic musical journey event called Wantok: SING SING.
20 International singers, drummers, musicians and dancers from the Songlines groups in the highlands of West Papua, Micronesian Islands and Polynesian Islands will be performing under the direction of multi-ARIA winner David Bridie. Artists featuring include Frank Yamma, George Telek, Vika and Linda Bull and Ego Lemos. Musical Director David Bridie.
