Seems like Gotye is getting ready for world domination, taking away a total of four ARIA Awards in the awards ceremony last Thursday held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
Gotye walked away with ARIAs for Best Male Artist, Best Pop Release, Best Australian Live Act and Album of the Year.
“There are a bunch of fantastic albums, especially by Australian artists, that I fell in love with this year … so keep listening to records and keep buying records,“ Wally De Backer (Gotye) told the ARIA crowd after accepting his last award of the night.
For the second year running Kimbra won Best Female Artist and 360 picked up an award for Breakthrough Artist Release. The Jezebels scored a win for Best Independent Release for their debut Prisoner.
