Want to learn the basics of live and studio audio production? Well now you will have the opportunity to gain some hands on experience from the Switch Digital Arts Centre Recording Studio.
This professional skills and technical workshop in an intensive 3 night course over 3 weeks will enable you to learn how to:
-Shape and capture sound
-Understand and use microphones
-Examine different recording styles
-Learn the basics of recording through Digital Audio Workstations like Pro-Tools, Logic and Cubase
-Basics of setting up a PA system and operating a sound desk for events.
The course will also have a practical component with hands on experience recording live musicians!
The course will be taught by award winning sound artist Michael K. Chin aka Tokyo Love-In, who has been producing, writing and recording music for over a decade. His experience will prove to be invaluable to the course, as he worked on producing many albums with international artists, as well as taught audio production at the Australian International Performing High School and the Australian International Conservatorium of Music.
