Sydney’s Radiohead fans have been left feeling bitter today with thousands (including us!) missing out on the first round of pre-sale tickets. Feeling cheated out of their tickets, frustrated fans vented their anger through a series of angry Facebook posts on the tour promoters Chugg Entertainment fan page this afternoon.
Many fans complained that the Ticketmaster site would not allow them to progress properly with their sales either by claiming errors in the terms and conditions acceptance or declining correct credit card details. These site issues led many fans to lose the precious tickets they had been lucky enough to secure before payment.
To makes matters worse, literally minutes after the pre-sale tickets went on sale, GA tickets were selling for double and triple the price through Ebay by scalpers hoping to cash in on Radiohead’s incredibly loyal Australian fan base.
Radiohead fans can try their luck again when tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am this Thursday, 1st March through Ticketmaster. Godspeed.
RADIOHEAD plays on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 November at Sydney Entertainment Centre.
