Last year approximately 14, 000 Australian women were diagnosed with breast cancer. 29 year old local newlywed Yvette Luciano was amongst the women diagnosed after detecting a lump on her honeymoon.
After almost a year, Yvette is celebrating the end of her treatment by putting already putting back into the community. Yvette is organising a music event during the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. Yvette has worked in the music industry and played in bands for many years now, and has decided to combine her passion with an incredibly important cause.
Breast Cancer Unplugged will feature intimate live performances by a standout line-up including Ratcat’s Simon Day, Amy Meredith, The Art, Screaming Bikini (Sarah Mcleod), Luchi, The Blush Foundation and Isac Cole.
The event is aiming to raise at least $10k for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF)’s fantastic research.
