Sing Cockatoo 2011 - MusicNSW

Sing Cockatoo 2011 is a weekend of singing workshops, a Saturday evening singing session and other musical activities, culminating in a performance on Sunday afternoon. Happening on the weekend of October 15 – 16, there will be lots of opportunity to explore the Island and find out more about its fascinating history. Musical Director Christina Mimmocchi will be ably assisted by Christine Wheeler and Rob Maxwell-Jones … and a surprise guest or two.

Camping is available for the full Cockatoo experience. Families are welcome. Bring your own tent or rent one in “Tent City”. For those who prefer to return to the mainland to sleep, transport will be available on Saturday evening.

The people of Cockatoo Island’s history include bushrangers and convicts, urchin boys and wayward girls, shipbuilders and seamen, artists and artisans, sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. There’s a place for you!!
