Nominations for APRA and AMCOS Board positions are now open and must be received by the Company Secretary at the APRA|AMCOS head office in Sydney, by no later than close of business Friday 16 September 2011.
The APRA Board: APRA Board Directors serve a 3 year term and under the APRA Constitution two Writer Directors and two Publisher Directors retire each year. Retiring Directors may offer themselves for re-election for a further three year term.
This year only two APRA Directors have been in office for three year terms since their last election. Accordingly, there will only be 2 vacancies to be filled on the APRA Board at the 2011 APRA AGM, as follows:
1. Eric McCusker, Australian Writer Director (due to retire and will re-nominate)
2. Nigel Westlake, Australian Writer Director (due to retire and will re-nominate)
Australian Writer Directors must be elected by the Australian Writer Full Members. Accordingly, only Australian Writer Full Members will vote in the election of Directors to the APRA Board.
The AMCOS Board: AMCOS Board Directors also serve a 3 year term and under the AMCOS constitution four Directors retire each year. Retiring Directors may offer themselves for re-election for a further three year term.
This year only three AMCOS Directors have been in office for three year terms since their last election. However, there are two additional vacancies on the AMCOS Board arising from the resignations of 2 directors since the last AMCOS AGM. Accordingly, there will be 5 vacancies to be filled on the AMCOS Board at the 2011 AMCOS AGM, as follows:
1. Bob Aird, Universal Music Publishing Australia (due to retire and will re-nominate)
2. Matthew Capper, Warner/Chappell Music Australia (due to retire and will re-nominate)
3. Catherine Gerrard, Hal Leonard Australia (due to retire and will re-nominate)
4. Damian Trotter, Sony ATV Music Publishing Australia (due to retire and will re-nominate)
5. Vacant position

Voting Online
Voting for the 2011 APRA and AMCOS AGMs will be conducted electronically except where expressly requested by a member. Voting is very simple and we encourage all voting entitled members to take the opportunity of casting their vote.
There will be no voting for Directors at the actual AGMs. The results of the election for Directors will be verified by APRA and AMCOS’ auditors prior to the meetings, and will be announced at the meetings.
