SEEKAE RETURN TO AUSTRALIA!
After a string of sold-out Australian shows and then an incredibly successful UK tour, SEEKAE finally answer the call of their Australian fans and return home to play Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth this August.
Earlier this year, SEEKAE released their long-awaited second album +Dome to national and international acclaim. On release of +Dome, SEEKAE became one of the most blogged about bands in the world, next to The National and TV on the Radio, as noted by The Independent.
In a 4-star review The Herald Sun asserted ‘+Dome is the kind of intelligent dance music that transcends everything before and everything after it.’ Inthemix.com.au described +Dome as a display of ‘genuine artistic exploration and crazy versatility; from upbeat tracks with house pianos and organs, to choppy, industrial electronic sounds, Seekae’s adventurous production is boundary-pushing and unconventional.
UK media met +Dome with equal gusto, XYZ Magazine declaring ‘Seekae do for ambient Electronica what Mylo’s Destroy Rock & Roll did for Dance…’ and Inverted Audio stating ‘From the outset, +Dome depicts a far more ambitious vision of the future than any other Australian act has ever attempted…’
In the UK SEEKAE’s live shows were equally well received, one reviewer describing how SEEKAE had ‘the entire venue under their spell…as the show draws to a close, the audience look energized, as if having had the best therapy session of their lives.’
So far, 2011 has been BIG for SEEKAE and there’s certainly much more to come.
