Arts NSW is pleased to announce that applications for the 2011 Indigenous Arts Fellowship ($30,000) are now open.
The Indigenous Arts Fellowship was established in 1996 by the Government in partnership with the City of Sydney and was awarded biennially. From 2011 the value of the Fellowship has doubled (from $15,000 to $30,000) and it will be offered annually as part of Arts NSW’s implementation of the NSW Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Strategy.
The applicant’s proposal can include further study or training, professional research or the undertaking of a particular arts project. The Fellowship may be undertaken in Australia or overseas.
Applicants are required to demonstrate that their project will:
§ contribute to the development of NSW Aboriginal arts practice by reflecting standards of excellence in arts practice and.
§ benefit New South Wales through the promotion of the NSW Aboriginal arts and cultural sector.
