UNFD ENTERS INTO A DEAL WITH WARNER MUSIC AUSTRALIA - MusicNSW

UNFD launched in January of this year as a collective of forward thinking music lovers that share a single goal: to simplify the lives of their artists.

UNFD exists as a full service music solution company, offering an ‘a la carte’ service, blurring the lines between management, touring and releasing recorded music with choice and freedom given back to the artist. At the core of all the UNFD business is the belief system that the combination of good people coming together over good music is where the future of the “business” is heading.

UNFD has an impressive list of artists that includes The Getaway Plan, Miami Horror, The Amity Affliction, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Illy, Grafton Primary and many more, and has automatically become one of the strongest independent music companies in the country.

The UNFD launch created a frenzy of interest around the industry and that interest has now evolved with a new deal with Warner Music Australia. Effective immediately, the two companies will be working together to further strengthen the services UNFD offers to its artists. The deal represents UNFD delivering on part one of the promise made in January, and is the beginning of big things to come.

UNFD remains a 100% independently owned and operated company – with offices in Sydney and Brisbane to accompany its head office in inner city Melbourne.

Casting some light on the venture, owner Jaddan Comerford says, “The music business is all about relationships and people. Warner have showed the excitement in our company that all of our staff share, and their enthusiasm combined with their resources is something we couldn’t ignore. We’re more than excited to be working with a company with such scope as Warner, especially as they prepare to move into a new era of success. With Tony Harlow and new head of A&R Heath Bradby now on board, we feel we have the right people over there to make this move.”

Managing Director of Warner Music Australia, Tony Harlow said, “I am pretty bored with talking to people endlessly about how things used to be. The great thing with UNFD and Jaddan particularly is that they only talk about how things are going to be, and how excited they are about new music as part of shaping the future. I was determined to bring that culture into and alongside our company” .

UNFD will continue to expand its wings as the ideas and vision of founder Jaddan Comerford continue to roll out, so keep an eye on weareunified.com for more updates.
