Calling all Independent Producers including music managers! A new initiative is here for you.
If you:
- are based in Australia and have permanent resident status
- have a minimum of three separate independent Australian artists, works or projects within your producing portfolio
- are independent of a funded venue, festival or already subsidised arts company
You can apply for up to $60,000. Applications for this new initiative close 18 April 2011.
The Independent Producers Initiative aims to strengthen and develop the business models of independent producers. Funds are available for producers to develop via touring, professional development and business needs.
Funds support and develop independent producers in any performing arts related performance artform and mixed artforms, such as music, dance, theatre, hybrid and circus.
This is an initiative administered by the Australia Council for the Arts. All applications will be assessed by an independent committee selected by Independent Producers Australia (IPA).
