BIGSOUND Live Line-up Takes Shape - MusicNSW

Brisbane will prove itself as a music lover’s paradise this September as the BIGSOUND Live festival takes over Fortitude Valley for two nights of the best music you’ll see all year.

Held on September 8 and 9, BIGSOUND Live is the urban music festival component of the BIGSOUND 2010 music industry conference and will play host to some of the most exciting artists from around Australia and New Zealand.

Today, BIGSOUND Live is proud to announce the following artists will be joining the fun and festivities:

The BIGSOUND Live music action takes place on stages across some of Brisbane’s finest venues including Ric’s, The Troubadour, The Zoo, and the newly relocated Clubhouse (Tempo Bar).

Building on the urban festival aspect, and Brisbane’s excellent balmy September evenings, BIGSOUND Live will feature two outdoor stages – one in the Artisan Gallery car park (Brunswick St) and another in Bakery Lane, tucked away on Ann Street.

The event also continues its tradition of being the best-value music ticket of the year. Two-night BIGSOUND Live passes – featuring access to 60 acts – cost just $44 (+bf) with single night passes only $27.50 (+bf).

Not just a unique public event, BIGSOUND Live gives artists the chance to showcase their music to a veritable army of influential national and international music industry figures in town for the BIGSOUND 2010 music industry conference, which runs from September 8 to 10.
Over the past few years, BIGSOUND Live has become a launching pad for Australian acts – including the likes of Operator Please, The Temper Trap and The Middle East – looking to take their music to the world.
If you needed more from the festival that keeps on giving, BIGSOUND 2010 is partnered with Valley Fiesta. Brisbane’s largest street festival, Fiesta’s weekend of live music and more kicks off on Friday September 10 as the BIGSOUND 2010 program officially winds down.
