Spotify has revamped its on-demand music software, focusing on integration with other music and non-music platforms aiming to amp up the program’s social networking capabilities, and connecting users directly.
This new “beta” version (0.4.3), rolled out to existing users yesterday, seems to be looking to replace rather than complement iTunes. Spotify can also search their hard drives for all non-DRM music on the drive, and allow users to add it to Spotify alongside the millions of songs in the Spotify catalogue. The new version of Spotify can also wirelessly sync your playlists to your iPhone or other supported phones through a variety of techniques.
