Sound Summit Proposals Due - MusicNSW

Sound Summit is a five-day festival of independent and innovative music featuring national and international artists, occurring annually as part of the This Is Not Art (TINA) Festival in Newcastle, NSW.

Since 2000, Sound Summit has provided independent musicians, producers, labels, promoters, industry, media and fans a chance to perform, discuss, learn, teach, interact and argue in front of an audience of like minded peers in a nurturing and creatively stimulating environment that allows for democratic exchange of ideas, processes and working methods.

Sound Summit is calling for proposals for this year’s festival from passionate music producers, workers and consumers keen to be involved in Sound Summit’s 2010 program. If you’ve got great ideas about the ongoing development of music in Australia and globally, Sound Summit is keen to hear your thoughts. We’re interested in receiving proposals that explore inventive perspectives on contemporary music – be they technological, theoretical, political, media, industry, fan or practice based.

PROPOSALS FOR WORKSHOPS, PANELS, ARTIST AND PROJECT PRESENTATIONS ARE DUE COB WEDNESDAY MARCH 31.
