ARIA Winners announced - MusicNSW

Last week the 2009 ARIA awards named their best of 2009, feature artist this month – Bertie Blackman took home a statuette for Best Independent Release.

Empire of the Sun dominated the awards with  Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Best Group and Best Pop Release. Sarah Blasko took out the award for Best Female Artist and also performed on the night. Best Adult Contemporary winner Josh Pyke joined Best Blues and Roots Album winner C.W. Stoneking for local winners.

Performances on the evening inlcuded Empire of the Sun, Sarah Blasko, Keith Urban, Robbie Williams, The Temper Trap and Ladyhawke and you can download each of the live performances from itunes from Tuesday December 1 with all proceeds going to Youth Beyond Blue – the national depression initiative.
