Offered from February 2010, the new Ba. degree, through the Australian Institute of Music (AIM) will provide general management education that equips students for a broad range of managerial roles across arts, music and entertainment.
The degree, which was recently accredited by the Department of Education, was developed by Paul Saintilan, Program Director of AIM’s Master of Arts Management degree conducted at the Sydney Opera House. Saintilan has worked at a senior level in the international music industry and possesses excellent academic credential in both business management and music.
Thomas Heymann, who has been appointed as Program Director of the Bachelor of Entertainment Management course, also brings impressive credentials to the role (see the profile of him in this newsletter).
The two-year course will cover the following streams, all taught by industry experts:
- Management (including Strategy)
- Marketing and Communications, including Social Media
- Policy, Finance and Economics
- Entertainment Law
- Human Capital
- Humanities and Electives
- Internship
