Sydney’s The Deer Republic have taken out the first uncharTED competition for 2009 to play at Splendor in the Grass. The coveted competition also includes a $25,000 career development package.

Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory hosted the national finals for the first uncharTED competition on the 9th of July and named The Deer Republic it’s winners. Granted a spot on the Splendor in the Grass line up and a $25,000 career development package The Deer Republic were blown away with their win, and with their catchy indie pop tunes here’s knowning there will be more to come from the NSW band.
