It was always a bit of far fetch but kudo’s to FBI who have suceeded in catching the attention of everyone’s favorite billionaire – Richard Branson (esp. to the woman who swam to Sir Richard Bransons island to tell him about it).
Branny has built up his millions by taking risks and never giving up, so in response to the million dollar request Branny offered up a different form of support to the station that support local music.
Branson has offered up flights to LA, flights to the UK and tickets to V Festival in London and for FBI he has given them access to his Virgin empire to help with fundraising and sponsorship initiatives.
He said: “Congratulations to FBi radio for running a truly inventive and original campaign. Ive been amazed by the effort that your supporters have gone to and have had a great laugh at some of the very creative entries. Clearly FBi inspires great passion from its listeners and its worth saving. Ill do my bit providing some prizes, but really its up to FBis listeners to show that they want the station to survive.
