ARE YOU A YOUNG MUSICIAN under 25 years LIVING IN THE INNER WEST OF SYDNEY?
DEMOS REQUIRED FOR MUSIC VIDEO PROJECT – OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE YOUR MUSIC CREATED INTO A BROADCAST QUALITY MUSIC VIDEO
ASHFIELD YOUTH THEATRE in association with CITY OF CANADA BAY COUNCIL invites local inner west bands and/or musicians (under 25 years of age) to submit an online demo for consideration into its new MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION PROJECT.
Local young filmmakers will work with industry professionals to create a broadcast quality music video clip for 3 successful bands / musicians. The final product will be premiered at Club Five Dock in April 2008 and distributed to music video programs online and through network television.
A judging panel of key artists engaged on the project will select submissions based on:
· The production quality of the demo
· The quality of the musicianship
· The professional commitment of the musicians / band
· The majority of the band members being under 25 years of age
Once a band / musician have been selected, they will be required to submit a broadcast quality demo on CD for the filmmakers to work with. Successful applicants will be consulted by the filmmakers on their music video concept, although creative control will be up to the discretion of the filmmakers.
Only bands / musicians will online demos (myspace or equivalent) need apply. Applications close Friday January 25. Participation is free.
Successful applicants will receive copies of the final music video outcome.
