Tooheys Extra Dry (TED) has long been a supporter of Australian music festivals including Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass, Great Escape, x and more. Through this association, TED has increasingly become involved in the support of emerging music and up and coming bands.
Sleepy Jackson, Wolf & Cub, The Spazzys, The Herd and End of Fashion are just some of the bands that have been part of the TED ‘Bands on cans initiative to help bring new fresh bands and fresh sounds to the Aussie beer drinking public.
Now with uncharTED, Tooheys Extra Dry has created a dedicated on-going program for the support and promotion of fresh new emerging music and Australian talent. A program designed in partnership with Australias largest record label, SONY BMG, to actually build a home for budding unsigned local Aussie bands to speak and reach the wider Aussie public.
A ground breaking A&R program to discover and break talent, uncharTED is a national competition with which the public will directly vote on “who will make it” and receive one of the largest prize pools ever offered to a breaking band:
A firm record deal with SONY BMG Red Label.
A spot on the 2008 Big Day Out national tour.
Support gigs with showcase headline acts.
National airplay and exposure on-pack, online and through media investment.
